Sarah Clift is a director and screenwriter based between Mexico and the UK. She was an awarded creative and creative director in London agencies for nearly 20 years - her last commission was heading a global brand at an agency in Paris - and then she made a bold move to write and direct for film and television.

Her first short film LA MADRE BUENA (The Good Mother) a comedy drama received immediate worldwide acclaim and over 50 wins and nominations.

Sarah’s second short THE BIRTH OF VALERIE VENUS was BAFTA long-listed, an Academy qualifier, and is currently screening on Disney + throughout Europe.Her first feature, SPINSTERHOOD, is currently in development with the British Film Institute; a period comedy drama, or an ‘anti-Jane Austen’, as Sarah likes to call it, set in working-class Yorkshire in the 1800s.

Sarah’s ravenous creative appetite has led her to dabble in stand-up comedy, ride out on horses with Mexican wranglers, and begin writing a book of magic realism short stories.
